Education About Asia (EAA) is an educational journal published three times per year by the Association for Asian Studies.

EAA is a practical teaching resource for secondary school, college, and university instructors.

When you subscribe to Education About Asia, you will join the thousands of teachers and professors who use this magazine to enhance their understanding of Asia, preparing them to teach their students about this important region of the world.

With each issue, you will enjoy:

  • Stimulating articles on all areas of Asia, with subjects ranging from ancient cultures and literatures to current events.
  • Essays describing educational programs and techniques that have been tested in classrooms similar to your own.
  • A comprehensive guide to resources for classroom use—films, videos, books, curriculum guides, websites, software, and other educational tools.
  • Interesting and unusual "Facts About Asia."
  • Thematic issues on topics of particular interest, such as "Teaching About Islam in Asia" (2005), "Reconsidering Hiroshima and Nagasaki after Sixty Years" (2006), "Natural Disasters in Asia: Geography and Environment" (2007), "Teaching About Asian Governments and Legal Systems" (2007) and "Marriage and Family in Asia" (2008).
  • Partnerships with such organizations as the Asian Educational Media Service (AEMS) that enhance treatment of films in the classroom.

. . . and much, much more!
